I think all of them have done music videos and adverts. Some have done films. I think Jonathan Glazer is pretty good, I am sure he did some of the Radiohead ones (Street Spirit and others) and also "Rabbit In Your Headlights" which is an awesome video. |

i bought the Chris Cunningham dvd and i must say i was quite dissapointed theres only like 8 vids on there and 2 ads waste of money.but i might buy the Anton Corbijn one when it comes out |

Rabbit In Your Headlights is indeed an awesome vid..vids are pretty much the only thing that is good when it comes to radiohead i must say :) |

It does seem to me like they could put alot morre stuff on the DVDs than they choose to. |

do you mean extras or are there more videos to each of the directors? heh.. do you think there are some cuntish artists that own their videos and when the director goes "can I put it on a disc with the rest of my stuff" they go "NO! FUCK YOU!" or "it'll cost you..." ? |

yeah! all the videos are great! I put the "art" stuff on at a pre-party I had to see if people reacted.. obviously monkey drummer made everyone laugh and that "two people floating in water" stuff passed by unnoticed... |

Yes, plus there can often be issues with it conflicting with other contractual DVD agreements regarding publishing rights. I can't see any advertisers refusing more free publicity, but I am sure there are both artists and labels who would refuse to alow some material to apear. |

that's really weird... "well, yes, he made our video, but we don't want to be connected to him in any way!" ..or maybe they don't mind the video being there, but demand too much money for their music to be there, and having a musicvideo without the music kind of defeats the point... |

But it's obviously not as simple as an arrtist saying 'I like the dirrectorr I'll let him put my video on his DVD', it's all about copyrrights blarr de blarr. |

I know it isn't the director doing stuff on the dvd-end, nor is it the artists doing stuff on the other end, but there should really be some safety-net for people who create stuff where they may be able to use stuff they've created in their own "portfolios/showcases" without having to pay the artists... |

They are under contract to produce the video for the artist or label. All publication rights are then directly in control of the label and they are under no obligation to ever allow the original director access to the work for any purpose at all. |
