that is a skull. on your guitar. nice instrument, beautiful
finish. i'd do without the skull though. that's just me.

Thats what drew me to it. To each their own i suppose! :)

I've been hunting down washburns for quite sometime. Not
hunting too hard but when i am looking at guitars i do ask
if they are carried. Usually they are not.

i am heterosexual.

how do they play? i've never handled a washburn before, but
i've seen some really nice ones. i might have to get down to
the local store and see if there are any i can fondle.

I really like it. Its just what i wanted. except that i just
bought a whammy bar today that doesnt go anywhere on this
guitar. I figured that was odd.

So i guess i am going to have to figure out how to correct
that.

haha, yeah no place for a tremolo arm on that stop tail
piece. is it a fender style bar in which it screws down into
a hole in the bridge? if so, i don't think you can use it on
that guitar.

offline virginpusher from County Clare on 2005-05-31 20:09 [#01618317]

Yes yes it is actually. Its actually a fender arm. Its all
my cloest shop had actually and i didnt really think about
it before i went to buy it today. How bizarre.

:D

example. though this would cost a bit to do.

pretty cool!

i don't think you can install a tremelo into that without
really chopping it up, buddy.

i don't ever use a whammy bar, personally. i don't like
them except for really fucked up sci-fi effects. otherwise
they get in my way. ;)

it's got those humbuckers - i'll bet it sounds pretty nice.

same here actually, my old squire strat has one but it needs
some fixing, and i haven't gotten around to doing that.
never really play that any more, though i'd like to.

hummmmmmmmmbuckers

haha i know, but somehow i'm always up until 2 or so. i need
to change that!

and thanks, i love playing it. it's really comfortable, i
can't image trying to play a les paul after having this.
those things are danged heavy!

what do you play?

(virginpusher: sorry to hijack the thread, join in again,
we're still talking about guitars and shit)

nice, crazy guitar that is. like an upside-down mustang,
right? i love that body style, mustangs & jaguars &
jazzmasters (similar). ok going now. night!

yeah, it's got a lefty headstock. the body is really cool -
nothing is quite like it. my understanding is that it was
sort of a cheap cash-in on the popularity of the jag-stang
style and those guitars you mentioned. i don't think they
make them anymore. i'd buy another one for sure, though.

I need something decent to record the sound with. I have
just about zero hardware.

Whats up with that pic of epi with the whammy? Is that
something i need to purchase? hmmm. My knowledge is limited
on this subject

My style is constantly changing. Depends what i am listening
to. I cant wait to add this to what me and Anders are doing.
That will be the best. I have some great ideas!

Hey mate :) I think you will have to install a different
bridge if you want that whammy.

I never liked them too much until I heard what Kevin Shields
could do with one of those bad boys. I want one but they
look a bit odd on telecasters

LAZY_TITLE

I keep saying I'm gonna mod it to bits but its still fairly
plain alas...

ehhhh due to your own thread devoted to your sticker-covered
guitar you have no right to pass judgement on the artwork on
the body of the guitar

would you have preferred it if it was a sticker of a skull?

anyhow.. virginpusher, beautiful guitar. looks absolutely
stunning.

hey! thats my guitar too. i loves it so much, ive been
missing it here at college tho, cuz my room is about the
size of a small prison cell so i have no room for an amp. i
havent played anything but an acoustic guitar in months,
which is severaly strange for me.
