i have just bought 24 bottles of carlsberg for £10 in tesco. whilst cracking open my 3rd bottle i suddenly noticed it was best before feb '05. i am almost certain it wasn't mentioned on the sign... obv i can get a refund but FFS fucking tesco i hate them. i hate society fuck ing fuck. i will probably still drink it. shit. assholes. anyone else been in a similar situation? |

man, i only even checked the label cos i thought it tasted a bit perculiar. i fucking hate tesco. they move the whole store around every 3 days so you can't find what you want, they only put offers on things you don't wanna buy, they've never got any decent magazines in stock, their self service sucks (why should you have to do the job of an employee?? you should at least get a fucking rebate on your bill for saving them on labour, cheeky fuckers) they've just sold me out of date lager, their staff are thicko spazzes, they sold me a pack of small silver rizla then the week after the same woman who served me the rizla told me they 'didnt exist, and she had never sold any in her 11 years of being there.' Their fresh bread is crap and overproofed and always falls apart and is so spongey it could mop up the red sea. the fridge that holds the snack sandwhiches doesn't hold temperature... mmmmmmm sweaty ham salad..... there is never enough staff on the tobacco keiosk. the staff on the tobacco kiosk don't know where the 'Camels' are. the staff on the tobacco kiosk piss me off. the whole fucking shop pisses me off. arrrgh i hate tesco, i really fucking do. but there are no other local shops apart from a newsagent. |

Yeah it's illegal for them to sell you out of date stuff, a few days is not a big deal but a few months is fucking bollocks! I used to work for those scumbags...they have plenty of tricks to get around it, like putting a reduced sticker over the date, when you rip it off, the date goes with it. I also had to work on the deli counter for a while....one day I went through the stock cupboard and found a load of stuff that was months out of date. I got told off for throwing it the bin, my manager dug the stuff out of the bin, re-wrapped it and sold it!!! I stopped working for them not long after. On top of that... all the shit that DID get lobbed away was taken to the canteen by a small italian lady and turned into staff meals. |

shit i worked there too. they fucking turn that shit into staff meals!? Fucking hell. I'm glad I only at one meal from them. but seriously fucking hell that's just horrible. I worked on the checkout so I didn't know about any of that. It's scummy and exploitative. Greedy fucks. There's so many sociological things I could say about this but I can't be fooked.
