qrter.. when pronouncing 'gmail' do you say "gay male"?

When i was over in holland with some friends i found this
quite amusing.. a bit startling at first when i didn't know
what they were talking about however.

yeah most people do.

germans and dutch people pronounce the letter 'g' not as
'gee' but 'gay' however.

I thought they pronounced it Geh. But I'm no expert.

It's strange how I know several homosexuals but not one of
them acts like Graham Norton.

offline DeleriousWeasel from Guam on 2005-05-19 13:14 [#01605159]

well Graham Norton is just really overtly camp because he is
a litytle attention seeking twat. Gay people do not all act
in a feminine way and some find it extremely offensive that
losers like Graham Norton are giving 'gays' a bad name!

....now back to my den

I like it when you do see an overly effeminate gay and some
builder type shouts 'Woah lads, backs to the wall!' not
realising that they are giving the sub what he wants, the
front end. Anyway this is off topic, I do apologise.

fair point redrum, I'm sure lots of people would like to see
the rear of someone they find attractive in the same way
that hetrosexuals and metrosexuals would do.

weasels dont really have rears -_-

I hear what you're saying. But by 'Backs to the wall' they
are implying the subby boy, who likes to receive it, is
potentially gonna jump on them and rape their arseholes.
When in actual fact, they are more likely wanting to know
what they could potentially receive in theirs. With 'backs
to the wall' he can get a good look at your packet. Dom
gays, are going to be more concerned about what they are
pushing into. In that instance, it would still be daft to
presume he is a potential rapist with a razorblade cock. It
just shows a general lack of understanding that's also
ironic.

no, I try to avoid saying "gmail" altogether.

but, when I really have to, I say it the same as you, albeit
through gritted teeth (aWITHa TEETHa).

besides, gay is pronounced with a hard G, while the Dutch G
is more guttural, it's more like the Scottish "ch" as in
"loch".
