I've converted the AE detroit show to mp3 already and it
sounds terrific. Still I know some of you might want flac.
I've been looking for converters and have only found
flac->wav. Gimme some links to wav->flac converters if you
know of any. Thanks!

whats the point of turning an mp3 into flac? Now you have a
huge fucking file @ mp3 quality.

Foobar2000
Check it,

Also, im still confused why people (ignore this mertens,
this is just a general observation) why people are taking
recordsing and releasing them under FLAC?

i don't understand how the quality is that good to begin
with, that 320MP3 sure as hell wouldnt warrant??

I'll take a high end mp3 rip of it tho :D

I just don't understand why people are pushing FLACs for
mini-disc type recordings

If it's from the soundboard, then yes i'd do flac, but why
is everyone taking MD recordings and releasing them as
FLAC?

Because storage space is not really an issue and it prevents
any further generational loss of audio quality. I can't
tell much difference myself though. I suppose people feel
better with the almost lossless nature of it.

Actually I was thinking the same thing. The mp3 sound
quality of this recording is 128kps @ 44Khz. But flac
wouldn't hurt. Nothing wrong with variety.

Oops.

In any case, its still worthless to do MD > FLAC. WAV>FLAC
is awesome though.

you're just an idiot. Post count size definitely does not
correspond to intelligence.
