What do you reckon? German singing elektro with commodore
64 sounds!!! You should check them out, if you dont know
them. Amazing.

Not really, Much much more pop. Its pleasant listening to
welle... In a better world, its what would be played on the
radio!!! they really deserve a chance from all of you, it
could easily be for a lot of the people on this board.

I'm bumping this old one, to let you all know about the new
Homo Futura project. Basicly welle erdball, only this time
the lead singer is "Honey" from the band, thus a new name.

Homo futura clip

Also, their official homepage.

Homo futura

This is what german music is supposed to be like. The good
combination of sleaze, leather, bad taste and catchy
melodies

I'm the only one posting in my own thread here, and it's
getting a bit embarrasing.

But i just came to say, that i saw Welle:Erdball live
yesterday.

4 songs into the concert, i was convinced that it was the
BEST FUCKING CONCERT IV'E EVER SEEN!!! (I've seen quite a
lot)

Everything about it was perfect. Perfect!
Brutal and beautiful. Funny, yet touching. Amazing stage
show, with lots of cool gimmicks. Great sound.
Some of the songs where sequenced straight from the
commodore 64, and they rocked.

So, anyway. They are still touring, and it would be a sin to
miss a concert with them, if they are in your area.

Over and out.

just tried the starfighter f-104g and super 8 videos, i like
it ^^
it's pretty kitsch in a way, but in a good way...

which album would you recommend?

Great!!! Yeah, they are deliberately kitsch, but not to the
point where it's completely ridiculous.

I'd reccomend that you buy their newest album "Chaos total",
in the special edition. It has a combination of some new
tracks, some old, hard to get (yet brilliant) ones, and a
dvd with lots of cool extra material.

Other than that, all their albums are consistently awesome.
They havent made a bad album. It's all the same style, and
it's brilliant.

The only one i wouldnt start with, is "frontalaufprall".
It's their first album, and they are still trying to define
their sound.

Also note, that when you go looking for their records,
theyve released a shitload of Ep's. They work that way,
release an ep every now and then, and then collect the best
tracks to a full album eventually.

I'm glad youre interested, they are really worth your
while!
