has anyone had any issues so far with 10.4 and their music
apps?

I'm getting a refund on my PowerBook (yes, my 3rd one in
less than a year and this one is fucked too)

I'll be getting one of the latest models, which will come
with Tiger.

Just curious to see if anyone has had any problems?

DP4 is supposedly a bit buggy.

I'm supposing there will be a lot to iron out before things
work completely smoothly.

With that being said, the 10.3 updates have REALLY fucked
some shit up. I've heard of people reinstalling back to the
original update just to get reasonable functionality out of
their progs. I'm guessing that in many ways Tiger will help
with this, especially if they decide to abandon updates for
10.3.

i was hoping to buy DP4 too :(

yeah, 10.3.6 fucked up DVD playback on my machine, and it
wasn't sorted until 10.3.8

Wellll, you could check over at unicornation.com there's
quite a few threads on it.

Honestly, I really like DP, think it's a great prog, and any
programs are going to have some issues. I think most
likely, Tiger's evolution will cure those.

Most probs I've had in 10.3.8 is Processor spikes, audio
dips, and random crash on closing errors. Nothing too
special, just annoying.

yeah i really wanna get into using DP, i like the look of it
and it seems less bloated than Cubase and Logic.

Yeah, the DVD problem really pissed me off.....made me go
all the way back to 10.3.4 to fix it :(

i had a mess around with Tiger before Apple collected my
fucked PowerBook......it's very nifty :D

especially the networked MIDI

They'll probably just give you a refurb and say it's new.
