What is this? Well.. I had this idea.. get several music-makers together and make a track. Each will make their part (one to bass, one to melody, and so-on) without listening to the others' part. A BPM and maybe a theme or scale is decided beforehand, and when everyone is finished, it is mixed by one of the participants or preferrably a person that only does mix. The general idea for the tracks is that they're supposed to be as spontaneous as possible, which means it would be preferrable for them to be done within an hour or two (including the process of getting artists), so don't sign up unless you haven't got time. This time 'round I was thinking we should just use some of those unfinished things we all know we've got lying around on the hard-drive. This means that a key won't be specified, but it would be nice if people could either adapt the pieces to the bpm, or state the bpm to the mixer so that he may be able to fix it. It will also be possible to have several people send in melodies and stuff... just find those broken pieces and the mixer will have one HELL of a job piecing it together... I think the only "position" we'll use this time is Mix, and then everyone else are just "contributors," but let's remember to not give the mixer too much stuff and a too hard job. It will also be the mixers privelegie to not use everything that is submitted. vacant: great! just have the stuff ready, and mail it to the mixer when he/she volounteers! anyone up for the mix? |

hehe.. I really suck at mix, so we should have someone else do the mixing, and you can mail it to him, but we still have to get someone... I'll do it if we can't get anyone, but let's wait and see if there's someone who's willing to do it. |

I have a few 3 minute drum 'songs' and a lot of drum patterns, but alas... I'm at work and I'll be busy all night with pootang. I'm surprised more peeps haven't chimed in yet. |
