Sorry about all the threads, but the reason i'm looking for
a new turntable mixer is because of this. I guess any help
would be nice before i go spending money on another mixer if
its fixable.

Heres what my recordings look like in cool edit. Can you
spot the problem? I can.

Yes the music is shit, but the channels should be equal.

The thing is, the left one seems to be cutting off the tops
of the friggin wavs for some reason. The bass seems to match
in both channels, but the treble is off for some reason...
:\

cool edit and i have been talking, and we both agree that
it's just not working out between you two. better to just
be honest, make a clean break. it's what's best for both of
you...

roflcopter.

Okay, but the thing is, if i turn up the treble on the
mixer, both channels treble go up, obviously. So i dunno if
its a mixer problem or a faulty needle or what.

its possible there an iffy cable connection that just leads
to a bit of a drop on one channel. the fact that its only
happening on one channel leads me to believe it could be
hardware

Yes its definately a hardware deal. All my software is fine.
Its something to do with the turntables and/or mixer because
my soundcard is fine after testing it on various things.

are you shure it's not a damaged cartridge ? maybe the
connections of the cartridge are bad.

but i would bet it is the grounding of the turntable - check
it

I would guess it's something to do with the turntable. It's
probably not balanced correctly, so the stylus is heavier on
one channel than the other.

it's a thing about stereo imaging of the file...nothing bad
about that and you probably won't hear much difference.

usually...soundforge has this processing option where you
can equal the channels to the right dB.

but then again...it's up to how you use the gain feature
when you mix...that's important in order to have it all
right!
