manic depressives?

Anyone suffer from that here? It's been back and forth for
me, and I think cognitive help is a lot better in the long
run than medicine (although it's different for everyone,
depending on the length of episodes and the intensity.)

When it does occur, your brain seems to assume you're in the
only person in the world going through it.

It has to do with chemical imbalance. The brain 'drugs' the
body incorrectly, resulting in very high "highs" and very
low "lows", making the person very unstable. Sometimes
resulting in psychosis.

It's a terrible, terrible thing. I don't know if I have this
or not but I think at times my brain does not handle
sertonin levels properly.

For me, hitting myself on the head with blunt objects has
proven most effective.

I have renounced people including myself.

how hard are these blunt objects, on a scale from sausage to
diamond?

Yes, it is chemical imbalance. During a depressive episide,
no matter what is going on, you feel it's all shit. You want
to end it all, no matter how good the actually
"circumstances" surrounding you are. That's why it can be as
bad for someone in a very good predicament
financially/socially/ or whatever as someone who lacks in
all these areas-your brain doesn't want to see the good in
life and refuses to see the situation in the accurate way.

Actually, I think I got it wrong, because I've never
experienced the opposite extreme (of ridiculous highs) where
people go on crazy shopping sprees and buy the shop or
whatnot. More panic attacks where afterwards, for an hour or
so, you have a high then return to normal.

One time in south park, officer barbrady walked by a
crucified cartman saying, and I quote, "noo nee noo nee noo"
then he looked at him for awhile then said "T"... "T is for
turtle" Then he kept walking and said "noo nee noo nee noo"
again. The hardness of these objects are of the exact same
hardness as the second noo.

I feel for you. I was lucky, as it didn't occur during
classes for some reason (wel, a panic attack or something
may have come up once or twice, so I just waited for them to
finish.) I guess if your brain is pre-occupied enough, the
chances of drowning in depression are less.

i found as long as you constantly keep busy and distract
yourself you're ok. back in january i didn't leave my bed
for like a week, and couldn't face going into the mundane
tedium of my job; being surrounded by inane working
practices, getting abuse down the phone (call centre) and
being surrounded by people who have no aspirations. i've
never had panic attacks or anything like that, but i just
get into a feeling of worthlessness, and i stop giving a
shit about people, loose my appitite, feel lethargic,
irregular sleep patterns, smoke to excess and drink a lot.

I know what you mean. It's like, you wake up and you just
can't be fucked. Another day.

But it's all good now.

definitely quit smoking if you think your brain handles its
biological drugs incorrectly. i dont know of any studies of
the interaction of nicotine and unstable levels of serotonin
but i'm sure it cannot be good.

Humans' faces are made of cheese. I wish our noses were more
pronounced like in proboscis monkeys.

Can humans be sexually attracted to animals? Or do they just
pretend to be for various porn movies?

A human being could convince itself it was sexuall
attracted to dinner plates. No boundaries on that. It's all
perception..

I don't agree.

You can't make yourself get an errection over, say, a bunch
of flowers no matter how hard you tried.

I mean, I tried it once and I got bored within a few hours.

You must not be aware of dendrophilia or the worship of
plants as a symbol of fertility

The testicles of a right whale weigh more than a ton and
account for 2 percent of its body weight.

Penis size also varies moderately across populations, being
largest among African populations, smaller among European
populations, and smallest among East Asian populations, but
with substantial overlap (Rushton, 1987, 1988b, 1989b)

"Based on this analysis of the adaptive functions of female
orgasm, we can start to understand why the female clitoris
remained small and relatively hard to stimulate, while the
male penis enlarged to unprecedented proportions in our
linage. Maintenance of a small, relatively hidden, and
relatively hard-to-stimulate clitoris enhanced female
discernment and choosiness with respect to assessing sexual
stimulation by males. A larger, more protruberant clitoris
which could have been effectively stimulated by almost any
tactile contact, however inept, would have made its female
bearer less able to judge the relative stimulation
capabilities of different males. She might have mated with
less sexually competent males and produced less sexually
competent sons." (Miller, Geoffrey F. (1994)

We averaged the ethnographic data on erect penis and found
the means to approximate: Orientals, 4 to 5.5 in. in length
and 1.25 in. in diameter; Caucasions, 5.5 to 6 in. in length
and 1.5 in. in diameter; blacks, 6.25 to 8 in. in length and
2 in. in diameter. Women were proportionate to men, with
Orientals having smaller vaginas and blacks larger ones,
relative to Caucasians.

beautiful. Thank god for whales and their testicles.
