Yeah. Not exactly belonging to braindance or "IDM".

They evolved from 80's EBM or 90's synth-pop or in the new
millenia they are called future-pop. Labels labels always
the labels.

"future pop"..?

that sounds very gay.

but indeed, that's labels for you.

they look like very serious not-so-young men in that
picture.

'Trance for Goths' = Nothing goth about VNV what so ever,
it's music for fighter pilots! You are all showing your
ignorance. For anyone who appreciates the lyrics they are
gold. But OH NO, it sounds a little like trance, fuck the
lyrics time to switch off. You bunch of narrow minded fags!

VNV Nation is music by which I live my life. There is no
fortitude of hearts and minds here, just narrow minded
academic pricks and bitches who ignore the passion or
feelings and pick at the details, like 'there's no barcode
on my Analord 5'. I peeled my fuckers off so it's
'incomplete' in the minds of fools.

But I still love you all. :)

I just think it sounds shit.

"For anyone who appreciates the lyrics they are
gold."

for anyone who appreciates the music it is also gold.
for anyone who appreciates pictures of men looking serious
the picture above is gold.

for anyone who appreciates stating the bleeding obvious,
your statement is GOLD.

well i wouldn't describe them as goth... but it's not that
far of a stretch really... from what i remember of them (i
was a fan when i was in high school... not that i look down
on someone for liking them now, i just can't seem to stay
with most bands for very long...), the lyricist makes a lot
of references to christian mythology and such... talkin'
about Gabriel and whatnot... really it's just EBM that has
gradually moved into more accessible territory over the
years...

I am not a die-hard fan either, but I really were into EBM
before. I have to go and have myself crushed by the
technology and sound.

BTW I can imagine go to a lot of live performance. Even
metal bands... Music has the power.

The show really rocked. People came even from Serbia. The
band members were amazed how popular they are in this region
(several people went crazy).

It is different than their earlier work. More techno
influences, and more strings+vocals (eek). I like the faster
pumping stuff on it and the one where you can really hear
that they used live drums instead of the synths.
BTW on stage they also using live drums but it sounds like
machine because Mark is playing so accurately.
