WHat would I need and how would I go about taking an AVI clip and making it or a bit of it, into a GIF. The digital camera I use can take moving images and it would be cool to turn one into a GIF.

you need to basically make it like a cartoon and add individual frames....... as far as I'm aware

I use Flash Mx to do this. It breaks the avi into individual frames and can be easily edited / resized..then exported as a gif.
