I have a breakpoint function editor box with my breakpoints
set up...however it only uses the first two (start and first
point in) and I can't figure out why.

Any helpideas my friends?

hey, could you be a little more specific with what you are
doing with the breakpoint function of the editor box? I
guess I dont know what that is.
How is that being recognized in Max? What type of
functionality / data set are you culling and/or intending to
transform?

I'll try to help if I have a better idea of what you are
doing...

:)

Hmm. I am still new to all this stuff.

Right there is a control called the breakpoint function
editor, basically you can draw envelopes and it outputs the
values at each point depending on the range and domain that
you set. The problem is that whilst it works when you
output to the MSP line~ object it doesn't do the same thing
for the max line object.

I've started trying to do something else now...i will go
back in the future because it is probably something I don't
"get" yet. :)

There is a button in it that makes Autechre like music.

I only have one up at the moment that I used max for and
that is one I have excessively spammed in the past anyway
:)

Then I got pissed off and stopped making stuff...now I am
getting back into Max again :)

ok, from what I gather, you're dealing with [line] v.s
[line~]
I think it works with [line~] because it is constantly
generating a signal.
For it to work with [line] however, you might want to use
[trigger] to send out the values as a list first, and then
delay the bang by something like 250ms and then have it bang
the [line] object to send out the values received by the
editor.

use this [t b l] after the editor, which will trigger and
send the list out the right inlet to the [line] object, and
a bang out the left which will 'set' the line secondly...

(hope that works)

i like that track, did you use it to write the whole track
or just the squelchy beat parts? I'd love to see the patch,
sounds great!

I recommend this forum for these types of questions.
Searchable database too. Between the tutorials and this
resource I've never had a question that wasn't answered.
Hope this helps

I have visited the forum a few times though and yes it is a
handy thing to have. Thanks.
