yeah, this may seem a little odd but it sounded pretty good
when i was muddy as hell last night from the kinds.

what if someone remixed a video.

i.e., gantz graf video ...

what if you make a song TO that video ... and form your song
around how YOU see the video ... and build the
interactions.

has this been done before?

just hit me out of know where and i was curious to see if
someone would be up to the challenge on here!

one of my co-workers is big into this. we're collaberating
sometime soon, like i'll throw music his way and he'll throw
visuals..etc. he's upgrading to a numark digital video
mixer...can't find the link for it but its out there
now...its exciting

No, not like cutting up a video and the sort,
but keeping the video static and making music over it.

you mean like the music compliments the video or vice versa?
kinda like pink floyds visuals cut to match the music being
played?

well

people make music to videos

i want someone to make music from a video (i.e. gantz graf)

design a track around the video

instead of the video around the track

ahh i got you like...use a shot of someone using a drum,
then to another piece of footage featuring x footage and
then sequencing those to make up a song? i heard that mix
master mike might have done something like this at a live
show.

lots of rough cuts to footage etc?

eh, kinda.

i mean

take a finished, production video ... don't cut it up ...
take the regular music video and dont touch the vidoe just
MAKE A TRACK that corresponds to the video

you know, instead of the video correspondingto the audio

you aren't touching the video at all

example, gantz_graf.

go create a track that is built FROM the video.

so instead of trying to get the video in sync with the
audio, make your track in sync (thus, 100%) with the video.

Cold Cut does this live.. kinda.

they mix and cut film video and audio into their music in
real time. I saw them live once and they were mixing in the
orangutan from The Jungle Book dancing and making trumpet
noises. They also mixed in video/audio of Boris Yeltzin
dancing. it was very dope!
