For those who dont know, its M. Sayyid and High Priest from
Anti-pop Consortium. Their lyrics are on par as always (H.
Priest is one of my fav all time rappers), but some of the
background music disappoints whereas in some areas it really
shines. For example, tracks like "Bright Lights" would be
incredibly good but is ruined by a godawful monotone chorus.
The album as a whole isn't very cohesive and kinda
disconnected, but isn't much different than Arrythmia. Fans
of Anti-pop should definately check it out if you need a
fix.

For everyone else check out 'Inside The Globe', 'House of
Mirrors', 'This Year', 'Paradise', 'Now I Lay Me Down' and
'Close Your Eyes'

6/10

Fack, it totally left out the album title after ":" which
should read "Good Fortune"

i've only heard the mp3 that was on their website a few
months ago til now. but like the beans solo album it seemed
to be away from the APC's quality.

Well I dont really like Beans' solo work as much as APC, but
Airborn is a hella lot closer to APC than Beans is.

APC seemed to be heavily afflicted by the up-the-own-arse
bug at least half the time. Which is not to say i don't
enjoy that kind of thing once in a while, but they never
seemed to have the attention span to carry off a full album.
It was a similar experience seeing beans perform live
actually, he swung between 10 minute acapella prog-poetry
pieces and bass-heavy evilness with almost no regard to what
anyone else wanted to hear. Quite good but oddly
unsatisfying.

I guess that describes this album too.

But when they do deliver the goods, it hits the mark.

I give them props in that respect because they just dont
give a fuck!

well, i like that attitude since it results in a higher
variety of music available.

maybe later today i'll check if the local record store has
the airborn audio album and if they do buy it.

Vadim and Dj Primecuts The Isolationist.

Oh cool, I'll have to check it out. The only collab I knew
of was Anti-Pop vs. Matthew Shipp, which is pretty good.
