Personally, I would not want to live in a universe in
which music did not not exist.

i don't think you'd miss it if you weren't used to it.

I've thought about that. To not be able to listen to "In the
Aeroplane Over the Sea" would be like a living hell, knowing
that it exists. However, I could still "play" it in my mind.
In reponde to Tolstoyed, I do know it exists, so I can't
respond to such hypotheticals.

Anyway, sorry for being so melodramatic, but I'm really sad
tonight.

wouldn't the same go for a hypothetical universe where no
music exists?

I don't understand the question. My initial post is a play
on the religious saying "I would not want to live in a
universe in which god did not exist" in their response to
atheism. I didn't mean it as a moral imperative or anything.

In that case, I put it to you, sir, that music DOES NOT
EXIST

Listening to my favorite album now. Even the death of one
loved and the death of the life one used to know and love
cannot strangle the impact of true poetry.

if i were to go deaf, i would continue making music. i
would still write all sorts of songs and start making
extremely loud music so that you don't need to hear it
because your whole body can feel it...
