The SYR series i don't know much about. I only heard the
third one which was ok i suppose. I much prefer this though.

how's it sound

i also should most likely get the SYR series as well

sonic youth is very hit or miss to me, but perhaps i should
give some things another shot (i.e. jet set expirmental....)

Goo and A Thousand Leaves may be my favourites.

Dirty and Washing Machine and NYC Ghosts & Flowers are
excellent as well.

Murray Street and Sonic Nurse are pretty good but not as
good as the previous were.

EVOL has some nice tracks.

Confusion Is Sex reminds me a lot of Einstürzende
Neubauten's 'Kollaps' - interesting and raw, but not as good
as the following albums (even forgettable for Sonic Youth, i
think i just listened to it once).

evol is my favorite. then bad moon rising.

i think sonic nurse is a little bit better than murray
street and nyc flowers, but nothing compares to their 80's
output.

Used to be a big fan of their music, but kinda lost them
after Murray Street, haven't heard Sonic Nurse yet. Their
best record for me is Washing Machine, it has this really
dream like atmosphere.

Bad moon rising and daydream nation as albums. But diamond
sea is their best songs and one of my favorite songs ever.

Bad moon rising changed the way i look at music i think, i
listened to it on the first and only time i did acid. That
was interesting!!!

: )

yeah, diamond sea is a fantastic song! i do especially like
their mid-90's albums - experimental jet set and washing
machine are also favorites of mine.

bad moon rising is the PERFECT halloween soundtrack. i play
it every year around that time - it's fantastic. it's
almost like you can feel the leaves on the ground and smell
the autumn air when you're listening to that record. :)
