Do you know Squarepusher? I do...

(And with that cryptic comment, I shall be off into the
Portuguese sunshine)....

Sound of footsteps...

sunshine is good.
100000000000000000000*10666 times better than
Ultravisitor.

That means, in a whole year, I've never been able to listen
to the whole album in one sitting. I wonder if I ever will,
maybe if I fall over one day and paralyse myself whilst it's
on...

happy to help, my friend

*shoots dog_blech in the leg with a shotgun, and puts
ultravisitor on*

Hopefully I'll bleed to death before the end of Steinbolt.

you're not the only one. there's some nice tracks on it,
but i don't think i've ever listened to it through.

which is strange; it's pretty much exclusively only how i
listen /to/ albums. i always end up changing it or skipping
tracks.

Rare is the album that people listen to all the way through
these days...time for one thing....I'm not saying that I
don't occasionally, or even often, skip some of the middle
tracks, but the whole works brilliantly as a journey imo...

now i find this album much more enjoyable than i did a year
ago.

It may prove to be a classic...and the quote from the man
himself at the time may prove to be prescient... :-)

its the worst thing he has ever done.
only 'an arched pathway', 'c-town smash' and 'menelec' worth
listening to. the album as a whole really does feel like one
long track, in a repetative way not a beautiful journey way.

it isn't very good, though those bonus tracks are quite
enjoyable

the week after i bought ultravisitor, i returned to hmv and
found a cd i liked. it had a 'buy one get one free' sticker
on it, but i searched the store and the only other cd i
could find with that sticker was 'hard normal daddy' by
squarepusher. ultravisitor was so terrible and disappointing
that i left the store without getting a free
squarepusher cd, and i have never regretted it.

Ultravisitor and Tetra-Sync are modern classics...surely
this is inarguable...(!) :-)

Are you saying you had the chance to get Hard Normal Daddy
for free and you didn't take it and you still haven't got
it...wasn't immediately apparent to me what you meant, sorry
:-/

music in general(!) get this disc!!!!!

nah ive given him too many second chances...ive bought feed
me weird things, do you know, music is rotted one note,
ultravisitor and go plastic, ive listened to them all many
times in different moods to try and get into them...but i
cannot. and every time i buy a new sp record my expectations
build...'people on the board like it! it cant be as bad as
the last one i bought! perhaps he has a different style with
every album'...and every time i am disappointed. no sir, i
will be brave and resist the temptation to ever buy a sp
record again, and suffer the inevitable pain that goes with
it.

Why make yourself suffer? You sound like one of those women
who say "I'll never fall in love again, then I can't get
hurt"...Believe me, it's probably his best album, if you
like electronica I don't think you can fail to like it...

Have you heard Vic Acid? Beep Street? Male Pill Part 13? If
not, you're missing out...this album is much more
beat-filled, almost poppy in places imo...and the jazz is
present and correct...

Seriously, check it out...maybe get someone to copy it for
you...? Beep Street is just fecking superb....
