it's been a while since i've done anything, and i wanted to put more work into my melodic content since melody is my weakest part of music :(
i would greatly appreciate anyone's comments on these pieces
and if anyone can spot the samples let me know! ;)
tribal - unfinished
i can't be me - unfinsihed
thanks for listening people!

id say after hearing these the second track has much more promise, it starts out rather weak but eventually gets going really well - and if you are going to take more time on the melody, why not try to put in the forefront of the track, the dark beat atmosphere clouds the track, i cant hear the melody in some parts, and its sounds really good once you do start to see it. all in all:
first track, good beat, but develop the melody a little better and show it more.
second track the better of the two, again, show the melody more, its gets murked out by the beat.

I'm impressed with the development of your work. hehe I remember the first track you posted and what ensued afterwards...these are a different class though. I'm not really into the same industrial sort of vibe as you do but I still liked what I heard. Keep at it.

massive tracks. strong.
tribal - very good. i'm waiting for the whole track i can't be me - i'm not sure about the instrument that comes in 2'02'', the pitch of it or the sound doesn't fit in the mood of the track. very good ending, those muted drums in the bkgd.
it seems finished imo.

Hotlinking from zebox doesn't work for me
I second everything obara says cause I'm to lazy to formulate it in my own words. One thing I can say is that in the beginning of Tribal, those percussive sound reminded me the Bike Pump Meets Bucket track from the Quoth EP.

thank you everybody for your comments on this stuff
i'm really proud to be moving on with my stuff - i'm kinda learning that mad complex drums aren't always the best thing for a track......but i do still love huge fucking massive drums. i just can't seem to get mastering figured out, as soon as i do i'll have the best of both worlds!
i think i'll probably still stay in a dark/industrial kinda sound though - NIN got me into wanting to make my own music, and i just can't really make an upbeat happy sounding track - i dunno why.
i am kinda getting stuck in a rut whereby i start a track out with a percussive element - i need to nip that in the bud, else all my stuff will sound monotonous.
the samples are:
tribal - 0:10 clang from Aphex Twin - Alberto Balsalm
i can't be me - 2:03 backwards fucking cool break from BoC - Rue The Whirl
i dunno if it's prominent in these tracks, but Boards of Canada have been a big influence on my most recent material

i have a couple of more tracks to upload
one of them is pretty much finished, just needs tweaking...well maybe a lot of tweaking, i'm kinda not happy with the sequence, but as a whole it's not bad.
the other is another work in progress, a track inspired by DOOM 3
i'll try to upload those on Tuesday for you all to have a listen to
:D

don't really like the tribal one all that much.
i really like the music in the second half of i can't be me. however, the song starts too slowly and the drums and melody don't quite fit together.
i can't be me could be a really great track. nice work
