I was looking at the used electronic section at ye shoppe
and it was sad. So many boring covers - like a plain white
or cream cover CD aith the word AEIOU in almost invisible
pale blue and a faint tiny line drawing of a shoe in one
corner - I'm making this up obviously. But you get my drift.
I'm not gonna fall for that one again. I already know it
sounds like paint drying.

so

fucking

boring

Yes. Minimalism can be a refreshing change from an overly
ornate era of music or art but eventually it becomes the
cloaking device of people who simply lack ideas yet would
still like to be arteests.

It is all a frightful cliched, but then what isn't these
days? It's all so terribly... past its sell by date.

Well exactly, art should be an individual response, not just
lazily picking up the artistic movements of 50 or more years
ago and saying "Yes, I agree", actually meaning "I wish I'd
fucking thought of that".

I hate these bastards that just copy everything and then
release they're fucking derivative album with derivative
artwork in some fucking wanky shop for wankers. FUCK YOU!

and anyway, mr. fleetmouse, you've got a lot of nerve
criticizing other artists when you yourself had your little
lapse of creativity. or need i remind everyone here of the
"black" album?!

hahaha I'm putting that up at zebox. Yeah those were the
methamphetamine years and I ahve only spotty recollection.

dog_belch, the culprits here are probably not even aware of
minimalism in art history. They're copying what they saw the
kid at the enxt desk doing.

TEH LAMBSAUCE!!!!

the weirdest part about that album was how you went all
contemporary christian and had that mutt lang guy produce.
i mean, all of your fans were expecting the next ian noll
theme and you go to nashville?! wtf? meth or no, there's
no excuse for a duet with garth brooks.

Yeah I guess doing the soundtrack to Russ Meyer's Lesbian
Space Vampire Cowgirls left more of an impression on me than
I thought.

hence they were in the used electronic section, i rarely see
good albums in the used section at the store, sometimes you
get some gold nuggets but its usually a load of shit, thats
why you can find them there, its a big pile of festering
monkey shit.

There are all sorts of cool covers around. Maybe the record
store near you blows it. HARD!
