I bought their debut album "flaunt it".

now I'm confused.

surely you must have been confused before you bought
the album.

either way, you're clearly a confused young man. i
recommend horsepills, a brisk walk and a good night's sleep.
and forget you ever heard of this siguey group.

their music.

they actually had quite a little hit with it in the '80s
"love missile F1-11".

you're second question confuses me as much as SSS's music
does.

what do you want to know? they were the first manufactured
pop band and deliberately marketed this way. their whole
career was pre-planned. love missile is awesome!

and now... i'll hand over to dog_belch to explain
everything else.

they also planned to sell-out as quickly as possible, hence
the semi-advertisements on the album.

and "love missile" is, indeed, awesome.

I don't know.. I guess because it constantly switches
between silly, camp, interesting and great.

I really like how fragmented it is. even the cd booklet is
fragmented.

so I had to use yourdictionary.com

I don't like yourdictionary.com eventhough overall it's
prettier.

I think it might've been joyrex though.. they probably won't
notice until the site goes down again and then I can claim
he packed up all his ULTRA-OOP! 12"s and moved to Belgium.

this plan is a winner.

I don't even have to pretend I don't know what ultra-oop is.
Because I don't. I can pass a polygraph, urinalysis and a
penile plesythmograph on the matter.

I'm sorry, I spoke eBay for a second there, how vulgar.

OOP = out of print.

the exclamation point is for a cheap whorish effect.

I actually bought the vinyl when it came out in a kind of
faux japanese robot toy packaging box. I'd like the CD
really now you mention it. I think all the tracks on this
album are HOT, Atari Baby, Massive Retalliation and
furthermore, "21st Century Boy" was not a straight copy of
the first single "Love Missile F1-11".

Did you know David Bowie covered "Love Missile F1-11" for
the b-side of his recent "New Killer Star" single?

SSS's follow up album was produced by pop production line
Stock Aitken and Waterman, with the fairly successful single
"Success", which I actually, unsuprisingly, like.

Did you know that as well as appearing in Ferris Bueller,
the single also appears in film High Fidelity?

I think SSS are still going in some capacity, though I
recall, despite their claim to be everything technoid and
Blade Runnerish, they had the shittest web site ever made.

that packaging sounds great! the cd was 7 euro's, so I
thought why not.

I did not know this about mr. Bowie.

"flaunt it" is produced by Giorgio Moroder, I noticed.

I think I even saw a few SSS cd's from 2002 and 2003.

it's funny you should say that about their website. they do
seem to embrace the idea of cyberpunk, interesting they
would be shit in virtual reality. :)
