at work - a software house - they revealed a new marketing strategy and product streamlining that ulitmately consists of a snazzy browser interface. Lets say the product is called "ab"... and now they have jazzed up the product so its called, say "abc". the new version is gonna be shit hot and very web capable.
I've discovered that www.abc.com does not exist [its not abc by the way, thats just for illustrative purposes!]
My question.
do you think its feasable for me to reg. www.abc.com, www.abc.org, www.abc.bet etc and then go to my bosses and say... if you want to use any of these you got to pay me.
. or is this some crazy bullshit scheme that might appear in "spaced" or soemthing but that has no chance in hell of being sucessfull in the real world?
Thoughts?

From a legal point of view you can't get into any trouble from your company, they can't sack you but they might change the name of the product and stop being nice to you.
I guess it depends how much you stand to earn from the situation...how much money would you accept and is it worth the greif you will get?

Yes, if 'fumbler's boss catches a whiff of this hairbrained scheme, I have a grim forebodding that'll end with KeyFer having his chief's pods forcefully thrust into his traitorous gob.
