i just have "dialogue" and "pause" but on trawling d'interweb i read this about "rounds".....
Kind of like a mellowed-out Squarepusher going back-to-back on MTV Unplugged with Autechre and a drunken jazz band on a sunny day in the park, it is the perfect summer album for barbecues with
physics students. Or a bath.
Does this sound like a fair description? If so.. i may just have to get it. Whatcha thunk?

(although we used to get beaten with a belt in primary school if we used the word 'nice' in written work..)

its a bit more self-indulgent than pause. its really good though. If you have the other two, then you'll know kind of what to expect. Well worth your euro.

I don't know how to describe it, but it was a fair attempt. Perhaps without the Autechre part. I like Rounds very much, and I urge you to get/download it.

well, he plays his music but fiddles qith it quite a bit, adding all kinds of cool sounds, get's very noisy (almost whitenoise) at times, and all sorts of weird frequencies, makes it sounds quite abstract..just the kind of thing i love to see :)

four tet is def. one of my favourites. saw him live last year, it was quite enjoyable.
can't wait for the new album. especially after reading this interview with him:
"I'd gone as far as I could with that. The whole folktronica thing was kinda making me crazy-- it had become so boring and bland. People were asking all the time, 'Do you feel like you're making the modern day folk music,' and I was being asked to work on folk records all the time, and it seemed to be so far away from anything I would ever imagine myself getting into. And you know, I like some folk music, but I don't really see myself as being part of the ideology behind it."
"It's important to me that every record moves on from the last one-- I don't ever want to kinda just repeat myself. [This album] is a bit more manic sounding than the last one, and acoustic elements like guitar and all that are gone."
