I need some recommendations for some nice movies. it can be anime (or animated) too. but it has to be really good like "Spirited Away" or "Nausisca of the valley of the wind".
I watched Avalon recently and I enjoyed that. something similar could work. I also like Requiem for a dream, pi, fargo, fight club,...
I'm now downloading tetsuo - the iron man. but I heard that ones a bit heavy. so I dunno if I will like that. I like movies that aren't TOO complicated and don't give you a total mindfuck when you're done watching.

city of god, blow, fear and loathing in las vegas, clerks, magnolia, four rooms, trainspotting, irreversible, the beach, vera drake and all of mike leighs movies.
and ofcourse films of david lynch, which is complicated, but highly recommendable. (lost highway, mulholland drive, wild at heart, blue velvet and the twin peaks series.)
i hate anime.

yeah I used to like anime when I was 15. I was a huge dragonball z fan. but now that I look at it again I realize I was watching pure crap.
ah yes magnolia is also very nice. The Beach was alright. I'm gonna check Blow. I've heard good stories about that one.

I was going to recommend David Lynch as well. All the titles Cunt mentioned, as well as Dune and Eraserhead.
others: The Big Lebowski, The Shining, Fear and Loathing, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I'd actually be pretty suprised if you havent already seen all those though.

although I've seen allot of good movies I'm missing out on allot of movie essentials.
