classical music and music involving cellos = DEATH

mr. zeus, you are going to school for composition and mother
fucking the greatest major (it is a major right?) ... of all
time is SYNTHESIS or something...

why if you're doing this, didn't you go buy yourself a nice
little computer and make your own computerized
instruments....

you and your brain, i tell ya'

a beginners cello is different to a normal one? or is it
just a cheap one?

I have a nice little computer to make electronic music
with... I want to play though... have an instrument.

I love the cello... its beautiful, and my music isnt really
classical...

but even... think of the sound processing possibilities with
the cello too!

well, you should most definitely check out arthur russell if
you don't know him yet. his 'world of echo' album is mostly
vocal and cello. fantastic album!

nothing can be compared to playing an instrument. now you
can of course construct (good) music with the computer, but
it is not playing an instrument.

the back of van that said "pimpin aint easy"

even a cheap one is damned fucking expensive! How much did
you pay?

(remember that cellos and violins are harder to play than
any instrument with "set" pitch... you have to KNOW where
your fingers are supposed to be to get the right sound.. If
you are going to teach yourself how to play, I'd like to
hear what you manage to do...)

It looks decent enough... Im sure its pretty crap, seeing as
yes, 150 is insanely cheap.... but thats ok, cause Im just
learning.

Ill probably tape the neck for the note postions to begin
with, but I think Ill be ok. Ive played fretless bass, so
the concept of hitting the exact spot isnt too forgien to
me.... of course its different though.

but yeah.
