I have an album by yokota and don't like it, but it's not
called 'symbol'. it's called '1999' maybe.

is that the house music oriented one?

this is totally different stuff..well most of his later work
is different. one of my fav artists.

song 'flaming love of destiny' is BRILLAINT. some of the
best sampling of classic music i have ever heard. just
brilliant!

yes, that is house/techno album. no good.

i've just been at his discogs page and saw that his music
being described as downtempo, experimental and ambient,
except for this 1999. Interesting. Will try it sometimes if
I get some.

i'd say it's quite uniqe music really. lots of sampling, but
you almost can't miss it's him. he's in a world of his
own..a mixture of electronica, japanese traditional music
and classical music, but beautifuly put together. you should
perhaps start with symbol - it's his latest, or maybe sakura
(which is the one peple like the most and some songs on that
one are just awesome, especially 'kodomotachi'-one of the
best songs i've heard).

its not on amazon... i'll have to have a look around for it,
he's one of my favourite artists, although i didn't like
Laputa much. Is the new album more like Sakura?

i didn't really like laputa that much either. this one is
sort of mixture of laputa and sakura. while laputa was very
'organic' this one is a great mixture of those organic
sounds, ambient, classic music and electronica. awesome
stuff!!

i can put it on a server if you wish..

'flaming love of destiny' surely uses beethoven sample in
the most beautiful way possible. there are so many different
types of music sampled for this song that it's quite
unbelivable he managed to get it sound so awesome..ohh

expensive. you can get it through some other site but they
want 40$ for a cd :)

excellent :)

i'd say this one is the most similar to grining cat,
although there's a bit more ambient sounds to this one which
i really like.
