The 1980s are coming back in ever more mutated forms. If
this had some nicely sung lyrics that cast a wry look on
love, I'd say "WINNER".

FACT:gillabong is an anagram of global glin

Goon, you need to listen to Vitalic to get your drums/melody
things right. It doesn't need to be one or the other, let
each take the limelight for a bit. Make the listener focus
on your best bit. Jesus I'm condesending! The blood of
mary, I'm trying to help. Jesus wept!

i enjoyed it, or i enjoy it.. i have been looping it now
over my breakfast and morning coffe and that is a very
special time of the day and your track worked very well with
that.

Normally im not a big fan of these types of beats but you
made an pretty basic beat allot more fun with all your
smaller perc and fx'ish sounds, it works all the way trough
imo.

The melody towards the end is nice, could get some more
attention in the mix though as it feels too low in overall
volume but anyway, it sounds sweet and i really like the way
you end it, fast but nicely done with those notes making a
fast cool combo.

Also the changes in the pad line at 56 secs in is very nice,
it's also a bit "unhearable" though so i suggest an second
instrument to help it with that melody as it's very nice.

thanks for sharing, good morning music yes yes.

Also, i got your adress from the virginpusher, i will send
you the cd on monday, i just need to buy some cd-r's

good morning =D

I agree about the production/levels being a bit unfinished,
but the idea of the track this mp3 gives is good.

I don't like the detuned thing that comes in about 2.30 and
sticks round to the end of the track. The actual melody it
plays is good, but I just don't like the instrument used. On
the subject of synths, some of the synth patches sound like
they're outtakes of Manhunt Remixes tracks :) (that's a good
thing)

cheers guys!

cheers for the advice awt!

a few people have mentioned the detuned synth, i'll try to
fix it

almost the entire track is made using the OP¬ER¬AT¬OR 4op
FM synth in the new version of ableton live

;)

I was reading an interview with one of the big dance acts (I
forget who it was, but I recognised them), they said they
got their gritty sound, yet keeping good melody, by writing
it all on piano and guitar, then replacing those with nasty
distorted synths etc.

One thing I notice that makes your stuff sound quite
"chirpy" is the synths/instruments, so maybe try darkening
them, but keeping your melodies. :)

yeah my sounds are quite chirpy, i blame budgies!

i don't have a piano, but i do have a guitar! - i'll try it
out, thanks ceri

this track definately shows some potential, but it's missing
something... just needs a little bit higher production value
I guess, like a slew of others have pointed out.. maybe a
couple added synths at a few parts would be cool too.
