Can any Max users reccomend some free sequencer patches for
Max/MSP? I want to check out how one was created in order to
help me make my own.

There seems to be a real shortage of Max patches floating
around out there - certainly there's nothing for Max that's
comparable to the Reaktor user library in terms of sheer
volume.

From what I've learned of Max - I'm still doing the
tutorials - even if you got someone else's patches you'd
have a hell of a time figuring out how to use them unless
you already knew how to do what you want to do... I'm not
sure you'd even want to use them, since everyone has a
different idea of how they want a custom sequencer to behave
and the whole point of Max is to enable that.

there's a pretty cool place around here called "Max Patch".

it's a grassy field on top of a pretty high ridge, that used
to be used as an airport.

true story.

Someday you have to make a surrealistic photomontage of your
area - with landmarks placed roughly where they would be on
a map - and post it here. You know, for your place you could
have a picture of your kitchen with the gun cleaning kit,
for downtown(?) a picture of Buglino's. etc.

I just realized we all probably know more about you than an
obsessed stalker knows about his celebrity target... take
that any way you want to...

I think you'd look better in earth tones with turquoise
accents.

That makes sense. It would be like looking at someone else's
code in a way. I want to make a basic midi sequencer to
control my electribes. Every DAW program I've tried has
serious issues when trying to sync with hardware.

If I manage to find or create a sequencer in MaxMsp that
allows me to control midi hardware with no issues, I will be
a very happy munchkin.

Which were you trying to set as the sync master - the
hardware or the sequencer?

I have been trying to find a pd sequencer object for a
while, to no avail
I assume you mean something like a piano roll/fruityloops
step sequencer type thing...
this might be helpful, but I don't know.

Do you know if that'll run on Windows? I don't want to go to
the trouble of finding software that'll unpack a .sit
otherwise...

the max/msp tutorials and use the help files.

good luck=]

" I want to make a basic midi sequencer to
control my electribes. "

Are you on the yahoo electribe list? They're looking at that
at the moment. One guy suggested making one in synthedit.
