wow. i did some apt-get stuff to install custom fonts from a
man page. its much better now.. a bit too small still. i
like this ububblebobble stuff, refreshing to see something
other than windows for a change.

thanks guys.

yeah, the fonts display a bit small for me in gentoo/firefox
too.

i haven't been arsed (to use the popular vernacular of my
good friends across the pond) to figure out why that is yet.

general->fonts & colors->display resolution

for best results use Other ... and measure the line on your
screen

Ahah!

Tools > Options > General: Fonts & Colors > Display
resolution

..of course, i imagine it's under Edit > Preferences if
you're on linux.

what's Ubuntu Linux like? Is it for newbie's or expert Linux
users? Is it based on any bigger older distros like Mandrake
or Debian?

It's debian-based and geared toward n00bs. It's one of the
best distros to appear in quite a while - worth a look if
you're undecided ...

well I am just bored with Mandrake...

it's debian-based and it's geared towards a clean,
professional desktop. it's not too bad, but i'm biased -
know quite a few of the developers working on it :)
