i love reading them and having a laugh..so please if you're bothered to do so, could you post some q&a that you found funny.
here are some from an interview i read yesterday (old one):
(apperantly he was playing around with a grenade during the interview)
q:I see you like that grenade. rdj:Yes. It is good.
then later on about the same thing:
(Richard is picking at the plastic pins stuffed into the ends of the grenade.)
I've got a knife if you want to get those out. I was going to remove them earlier, but I didn't have any time.
(I give him a knife and he proceeds to stab at the grenade.)
What happens if you take them out?
I don't know... Maybe it'll blow up.
How funny would that be if it would blow up...
___________________________________ q:Do your things talk to you?
rdj:Yeah. Only to me, though. Just pretendin' that they do. But they do, after a while, if you keep it up long enough when you're on your own - havin' really good conversations.
____________________________________ q:You like people, then?
rdj:Oh yeah. Fucking love them. Tons.
q:What do you like about people?
rdj:Hey - they're just really good to "interract" with.
q:You're making this up!
rdj:Yeah... I dunno. You can do loads of things with people, can't you? You can make them laugh, you can make them cry, you can fuck them...

ha - nice... he reminds me of buzz osborne of the melvins from any given interview, always stabbing things with knives and talking about guns. i bet they'd get along.

ok, this one's great [Yahoo! Interview]:
"LAUNCH: It sounds like you used Syndrums on some tracks. Did you sample them off record, or are all the sounds we hear self-generated samples? Did you play the drums yourself on a keyboard?
RJ: The drums played with my foreskin and made me feel all funny inside. "

It's funny how Richard can be purposely taking the piss or not being straight with some people, yet be totally coherent and straight other times like with this interview:

Oh is this from that sonic envelope interview? Let me tell you that i think that is the best interview I have ever read from any artist ever
link
But don't you just hand them a tape of another track?
aphex: Oh, I see. Yes. If you give them another track, yeah. You still get paid for that. I've only done that a few times, though. Did that for Nine Inch Nails, and the Lemonheads was another one. That album - they didn't release it. But they still paid me.
And the Nails?
aphex: Yeah. They released that, but they didn't send me a copy though. But they did send me ten grand. But I didn't even listen to the track - I still haven't listened to the track, actually. I just gave them a track without listening to it. And they liked it, so ...
What was it?
aphex: Just an old track of mine. I don't know.
So basically, you gave them an old track of yours, claiming it was a remixed track of theirs - they gave you ten grand.
aphex: Yeah. Exactly.

MEREDITH: You're not into the whole "show-biz" thing. RICHARD: Well, I'm not into the big media effort. It was good for a while, but I'll never do it again. I might make other videos, but I'll never make another that gets into the mainstream.
MEREDITH: Those tracks got into the mainstream? RICHARD: Pretty much. Come to Daddy was going to go well massive — not in America, but over here. It got to about 16 in the charts, and it was on the way to the top. I had to withdraw the record for a week, just so it would drop out again. I just about kept a lid on it.
MEREDITH: Why would you do that? RICHARD: I think it's bad to be really well known, because you end up in people's faces whether they like you or not. That's a really horrible thought. The shittiest thing about famous people is that they just assume everyone wants to listen to them or look at them all the time.
was this a joke as well or was he serious? :)

because a lot of interviewers are idiots... and when an artist has to answer the same questions over and over, they prefer not to humor the idiots who don't even listen to their music. besides, they get more publicity by being assholes to the press.
