from CNN: "New Beatles Album in 2005. Sony Music International have announced that a new Beatles album will be released in May 2005, and although the Fab Four are missing two key members, the late great John Lennon and the 'Dark Horse' George Harrison, the album looks set to become the best selling album of all time in pre-order sales already. Ringo Starr is said to be delighted at the news although he will not be appearing on the album. The driving force behind the Beatles, Sir Paul McCartney, who has been working on solo material for the past eight years, will be unavailable for the recording sessions and has not contributed any songs to the new album. Sony president Maarten Steinkamp spoke to press this week about the plans for the new Beatles record. "We have been in talks with Simon Cowell to decide just who will be fronting the Beatles for the new generation in 2005. We're all very excited at the news". " |
