just listening to their s/t .. pretty cool stuff i think -
i noticed that track4- character maps has a similar bass
sound to fenix funk5...
kinda robo sounding lines..

does anyone have the virtual geisha lp? any good? also do
they actually exist anymore? I've not seen any thing by them
since 01........

Virtual Geisha is just as good as their self titled one. I
don't think there has been any new stuff from them since
Virtual Geisha. They are probably doing some stuff under
other guises, like the new Arpanet album that Rephlex was
going to put out.

Im with you on that Fenix Funk 5 reference.

The track "perspects (remix)" has exactly the same synth
voices as Fenix Funk 5.

Weirdness maximus. Fenix Funk sounds like a remix of that
track. Are both using the same preset sounds ? haha!

what are you talking about? Japanese Telcom is
Drexciya...and Drexciya and AFX sound nothing alike.

yepp inkey, japanese telecom = drexciya. Great music.
I share much japanese telecom on slsk when im there(as
thodob).
i can hear the similarities in the bass between character
maps and fenix funk 5, but they are not quite the same...

If you like japanese telecom, check out the labels clone and
bunker.

edit: drexciya are Gerald Donald and James Stinson.
Its just Gerald Donald in Japanese Telecom, other aliases
are arpanet,glass domain,heinrich mueller and
intellitronic.

Gerald Donald is also one of the guys in Dopplereffekt and
Flexitone...

Does anyone know if Gerald Donald aka Heinrich Mueller is
also in Ectomorph? Discogs has his name there but it's
crossed out...

I found out about him by way of Arpanet but I actually like
Japanese Telecom better.

Personally, Drexciya 'n Side Projects are my favorite
artists or whatever. Actually I'd say it's a duel between
them and Autechre.
