Dear christ.
The inauguration for that douche bush is costing the US tax payers 40 million dollars. Money that could be used for greater things....good god, are you up there? are you seeing this? strike him down he is the anti-christ....

I wonder why americans pay tax... I get why they do it in countries where you can get good care at public hospitals, and where public schools are actually any good, and just basically in countries where your tax money goes to other things than just building roads, but americans shouldn't have to pay tax.. they don't get anything from it anyway...

schools in my district are pretty good, but if i had to pay taxes in florida, which has some shitty schools, and then send my kid to private school i would be pretty annoyed. oh yeah, and then there's social security -- which i'm sure won't be around when i am ready to retire!

Actually, the president voted into office around the time of world war two was the only president ever to have an anauguration that didn't cost the taxpayers an arm and a leg.
Its either world war two or the korean war, I forget which. All he did was rent a community hall, and make a couple speeches, and eat & drink some very nice but reasonably priced food.

I think it was Roosevelt, so that would be WWII.

i don't really know what exactly an inauguration entails, but my guess is that the most expensive part is the security, not the food -- maybe it's more likely someone will try to pull something on mr bush rather than it was for mr roosevelt.

all inaugurations have been expensive, except the Roosevelt one.
so that wouldn't have a lot to do with the now imminent threat of terr.
if I remember correctly Roosevelt even asked for a low-cost thing, but I could be very wrong about that.

The schools here in New Mexico blow ass. The ones in NY are pretty good though. Luckily I got to spend the first 11 years of my life going to NY schools.

$40 million buys alot of hookers and blow. Georgie must be planning on getting down.
And with all due respect, Americans don't really pay alot of taxes, especially in comparison to the Scandinavian countries. The top tax bracket is about 34%. If you are making an adverage salary and have a couple of kids, the deductions bring that figure to almost zero. Also the education system is primarily funded by the individual states- remember we're a Confereracy- your state taxes wich are around 5-9% pay for most of the service you enjoy at a local level.
It's true we get very little for what we do pay!
