Who is the most advanced producer?

I mean the one who makes the most advanced stuff, not the
best music or nicest melodies (just pure advance stuff).

The moste detailed high tech stuf I heard most be by a
person called Richard James n the track is called
Ziggomatic17.

so who is "the one", AE, Square, Timba?

Hans Zimmer and Karl Heinz Stockhausen make some pretty
advance complex stuff too.

i think hans zimmer is definitely one guy who made some
complex, but also pretty good stuff.

Squarepusher has noticeable Jazz roots, that's awesome as
well!!! I love his work, although I can't really listen to
his "weird-ass" stuff...
But he's definitely the guy on 2nd place after RDJ!

Well, in speaking of Hip Hop, I have to admit that I really
liked RZAs beat styles in the beginning.... especially on
ODBs "Return To 36 Chambers".
It's a good example that things doesn't have to be complex
all the time...

i reckon otto von shirach is a well advanced producer, more
than squarepusher imo.

What about Mike Paradinas? Mu-ziq himself... everything he
does is so nice and lush.

no no dave!
i was reading an interview with richard devnine and he was
saying he uses about 1500-like 3000 sounds per track or
something ridiculous like that!
he also has like 6 computers all with different kinds of
samples on them or something.

my list:
r devine
tom j (i bet he could fuck shit up real good if he really
wanted to!)
ae
rdj (sorta, i guess)

Hans Zimmer I fully agree, Trevor Rabin isn't bad either, he
switched from 80s Hair Rock, to BreakBeat Techno ! Download
the GONE IN 60 SECONDS soundtrack !

But Technical Advanced, does not mean Innovative !

"How do you proceed when you start composing a track?

I usually start out by cataloging sounds. Thousands of
sounds get organized into several hundred folders. I then
take the wave files from the sound-generating software into
Logic Audio, and then start organizing the tracks. I
usually use around 1200 to 1500 sounds per song.
It's a
long, tedious process, which sometimes is frustrating,
because it's hard to keep track of so many files. Another
problem is making sure all the sounds work together and
everything flows. After a while you really get a good sense
of what sounds and textures work well together."

--richard devine, interview

that's rediculous... i would suggest checking out his new
release "aleamapper", top stuff.

autechre would have to be one of the most "hi-tech"
producers i've heard...

and rdj is one of the most insanely detailed prods.

nope just got into him recently, haven't heard his first
album... kinda heard that it's bland-ish.

boards and radiohead where inspiration at the time of those
tracks. maybe i'll try and do a richard devine-ish
track sometimes, i like that intense ambient a lot.

Richard Devine is some of the craziest stuff I've ever
heard. I guess if you don't wanna jump right in to his more
fucked up stuff check out model or step.focus. If you wanna
jump into his more interesting stuff check out
partition.refinement
