but seriously, some are quite nice, kind of remind me of Rothko.
others are kind of like the work of a 40-year-old woman who has just started painting and "expressing herself" (maybe you're a 40-year-old woman who has just started painting, ofcourse). a bit new-age-y, I guess.

i dig SANS-TITRE #101, breches. but the rest are indeed like a fourty-year old woman "expressing herself" by making l'oreal adverts.

Of course, you can do that as you speak, the problem is not here:
1) I would like to see my artworks on CD inlay cards like those paintings on AUDIOSPHERE CDs.
2) These artworks are protected, like others artists works are. Just try to get infos.
3) I i can only get personnal feelings about these paintings, i would be already very pleased.

Some of these are Velly Good. "SANS-TITRE #305" is particularly awesome. It's a shame they're mostly so ickle-wickle small though, i think that oil-textured style could really lend itself to some bigger pieces.

I wouldn't put any of them on CD covers though. That would look horrible and crass.

I like the ones best that are more defined in geometric terms.
the pictures with just waves of colour kind of put me off.

I'd call them "Find whatever you can in them, any interpretation is valid. I know Abstract Expressionism came and went 100 years ago, but hey, why not?"

lol. I especially like Philippe BAUDARD DE FONTAINE. I admit that I do find it hard to appreciate some works where I cannot make anything out but with a little thought I get there in the end.

DOG_BLECH : not false. Abstract expressionism but only for the moment, i always have to find myself.
RazOrBlade_uk: no studies, i've begun painting in 1999 to dismiss my musical frustation (instruments are so expensive), and i don't like someone to tell me what to do, so i did these by my own learning.

You are living in the year 2050, i take it?
I'd agree though... i still like that kind of sort of style thing just to look at, but it's a Dead Fucking End on any other level. Although looking at a lot of my own paintings lately, it's like someone is slapping me about the face with a mouldy slab of hate and shouting IT'S BEEN FUCKING DONE YOU GORKY-LIKING SPAZ. So i'm probably not the best person to comment on art college AbstrEx (hey, note that crazy Abbrev action) pieces. Yeh.

on the other hand, there really is no point in trying to be original.
only thing you can really do is make what you like and perhaps, if you are so inclined, make things that are at least original for you, within your own process.
arghl.

I always, always double any reference to time having passed when making rash judgements on painting. It's an awful affectaction of mine, yet I stand by it.

I suppose that is Troo. I believe that this gauloise-smoking, shrug-tastic, apathetic, stubbly and originality-paranoid way of thinking comes from reading too many magazines that spout "Hey! Here is some art that is fashionable!"
It still bugs me though.

My dream (more, my object) is to do something completely original and trying to get gratitude from my equals (in painting, mixed media or music). But, I don't see the light for the moment.
