man, what good good good music these guys make. lovely jazz
infused electronic music, with a soul. simply beautiful.
i'll save you the trouble of slsk'ing this shit if you
haven't heard of them. maybe some of you have??

. 'midget' is my favorite out of the bunch. i need to buy
some of their stuff soon.

click for downloads.......

note: if you like what you hear, buy it. hopefully they
won't come after me.

well, there were quite a few people from smallwon supersound
playing at sonar 2003 and they were part of it. i prefered
kim hiorthoy though :-)

A Livingroom Hush is soooo sweet and groovy. Real Racecars
Have Doors sounds so warm, those woodwinds.

hmm, found a few links for Kim Hiorthoy, but no clips. the
reviews compared them to "tortoise meets any warp
artists..." i can kind of imagine that, but i guess i need
to hear it.

you can get it on slsk from me if you want...i can even
recommend you some songs when i get home and put yyou on my
user list so you don't wait in queue. im not sure i agree
with that comparison though..im not a big fan of tortoise
nor warp but i like hiorthoy a lot!

I literally only like one song by them. BUT I do fucking
love it.. I think it's the closer to The Stix. Such a
gorgeous tune.

i like lars hornveths' solo work better than jaga jazzist
stuff. but they're playing in belgium soon , so i think i'm
gonna go see them anyway.

kim hiorthoy is superb.

i like them allot too, i saw them at roskilde 02 (i think it
was 02) and they blew me away, so after that i went to get a
living room hush, exellent album.

Now im tired of them though, i listened to them too much
before

they rock!

the liveshows are fucking amazing!

fun fact: they don't want to make jazz.. their name was
originally "jævla jazzist," which means "fucking jazzman!"
since they tried and tried to make rock, but with that crew,
they couldn't make anything but jazz... and it's great!

as morsto-x said: check out martin horntvedt. the mind
behind i would say. he's the one bringing the electronic
influence and the beats. chopping the jazz into the kind we
like. he has released some solo material on smalltown
supersound.

also their producer, sir dupermann (also smalltown), is
awesome and totally wicked, especially knowing he usually
produces pop-music for others.
