I dunno if anyone here has bee unforunate enough to have to
use this peice of shit but as I am getting little joy
elsewhere I will ask anyway.

I have a form with an input box which takes a two letter
three digit search string. The reqest is basically a simple
SQL statement which returns it's results directly into an
array. A combo box on the form is supposed to be populated
with these results. This is where the problem comes in.
The combo box is displaying blanks instead of values. The
number of rows dropped is right (ie 5 results = 5 rows, 2
results = 2 rows).

It is a favour for a business I get regular work off. I
have to have it finished by start of business tomorrow. It
has to be in Foxpro 6 because that is what they are legally
licensed for.

Fucking fun or what.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you get data if you run the query? Try sending
the data somewhere else. Also are you using AddListItem()?

(I have no experience with foxpro - just trying to avoid
doing my own work)

Yep, the data is in the array. AddListItem doesn't have to
be used when you are binding the data to an array. It could
very well just be a bug in foxpro. I have just downloaded
the beta of 9 and I am going to try the same thing in
there.

Thanks for trying :)

Did you get it working or are they looking for a new
programmer?

Not with the arrays. I used a cursor instead and that seemed
to work OK. I still can't understand why it didn't work
with the array though. I never tried it in 9 because I was
too tired and pissed off so I just wanted to get it
finished.

Fukkin computers.

Today I had to interrupt my holiday to go be there in person
for an upgrade I already did via pcanywhere. But the client
believed that the laying on of hands was necessary. So I
showed up, double clicked an icon and left.

Then another guy right around the corner had a loose network
cable. Because of this I was forced to eat shish taouk in
the garment district and will probably shit my guts out.
