Not once have you offered me a copy of Grieg's
"Wedding Day at Troldhaugen"...and you call yourself a
friend :(

I did not think that this music would be of your taste, Lee.
It has no swear words in it and isn't 'funky' :(

I like music of all kinds. SO, not only do you offend me by
not offering me Grieg's "Wedding Day at Troldhaugen" but you
also see it as fitting to belittle the bredth of my cultural
artistic enjoyment.

for Strings?

I see you are well-skilled in searching the Internet for
information. This reminds of David Brent and Dostoyevsky.

Dostojewski you mean you phillistine.

By the way, talking about Lutoslawski, did you know that
after the war, the Stalinist regime banned his first
symphony (1941-47) as 'formalist', but he continued to
compose and in 1958 his Musique Funèbre, in memory of
Bartok, established his international reputation. His own
personal aleatoric technique whereby the performers have
freedom within certain controlled parameters was first
demonstrated in his Jeux Venitiens (1961) and is to be found
in almost all the later music

Lutoslawski is one of the big, standard contemporary
composers. Being proud to know about him is pretty fucking
retarded, sort of like being proud of being a boy who had
his mother give him a lollipop (if you are too stupid to
understand this, this means you are proud of something
commonplace, like being able to transfer files on the
internet).

- He accused ecnadniarb of using an internet search
- He probably brought lutoslawski up thinking he was being
esoteric

first one might be because he actually knows Lee OR, more
probably, because he is simply joking.

second one is mainly in your head.

You've not been here long, have you lazy, so you won't know
that ecnadniarb and I are old net-buddies who enjoy a good
British crack together. If you are unhappy about this, feel
free to butt in and try to criticise either one of us! Your
contribution is valued!

Lee - It was interesting - spent at Fiona's parent's out in
the countryside, and then up to see her Grandfolks. :D

Lazy, maybe you should not be so quick to flip the bird,
physically or verbally. I'm sure you only want to assert
your character at this fine messageboard, and that is to be
welcomed! But using the technique of antagonism is not the
way to go about it! Don't worry about being nice and
conversational, we won't bite!

okay, my defensive little chum, try and prove it then: "He
probably brought lutoslawski up thinking he was being
esoteric".

I can only use an "escape valve arguement" because it
already was that all the time.

I once witnessed wind strong enough to cause an eskimo and

Another point. And this is not having a go or anything but
rest assured that far funnier, far wierder and far more
abstract characters have been (some are still here), posted
and gone before you even found this place. It's always good
to have new faces, but you do need to calm down.
