I listened the other day but forgot to write anything. I
didn't really like it. It was too run of the mill and songy
for my liking. I am sure other people will love it though
as there is nothing wrong with the track at all except I
wasn't feeling the style.

That electric piano chord progression is nice but it's too
fast - it needs to lope not jog. And it's too samey - it's
like the same loop over and over. Try playing it live all
the way through and make some interesting mistakes.

I like this track a lot meng. The mixing is weak though.
Like the levels are good but like you should boost the song
a little, make it thicker. Specially since its kind of a
funk track.

If you go back and mix it so the Bassdrum sticks out way
more (and fuck off with the ring mod on it) I swear you will
be like "Holy fuck man he's right!" and you'll have a
banging track : )

Boosting your mids wouldnt kill you, it would help bring out
the "thuck!" sound of the kick drum.

This is defenatly going on the mp3 player though.
Maybe I'll just eq my own version or something hehehe.

Sometimes I think your approach to music and mine are so
different that we're not even the same species. However
despite our chromosomal disparity I will still attempt to
mate with you.

heh, thanks for listening, I know what you mean about the
bassdrum, its actually something i noticed awhile back
(about all my tracks)... I've recently just started eq'ing
all my lower tones (bass lines, drums, pads, etc) in the
middle and higher freq so they stand out more... But yeah
this is one of those tracks that was done before that
time... an older track that didn't make it on first PolyWave
release (which is actually a collab between me and
Stemwave). But i like the song anyway so I'm glad you did
too.

Learn your filters. Use gates and compression/limiting. It
sounds muddy. Otherwise, kinda fun, kinda plaidy.

Maybe using a few more sounds randomly inserted kinda stuff
would help to make it less generic sounding.

Oh yeah... try to stay away from the combs and enigma
plugins... they are really easy to spot. As with the orange
vocoder (not saying you used that, its just everyone who
uses it, kinda sounds unoriginal) or any other plug that has
such a unique and interesting sound so that anyone who uses
them kinda sounds like their short of ideas.

I hate that guy. "Oh, hello, my gimmick is to show all my
silver teeth. See, I have a lot of silver in my mouth and
I'm not embarrassed to show it, so I guess I'll do it in all
my videos and pictures. It makes me look 'ghetto' don't you
think? I have dreadlocks and am black too. So please give me
millions of dollars that I don't deserve, thanks."

thats funny, i did use compression but i dont think the
track sounds muddy. It might be the lack of anything in the
higher frequencies that gives that impression. I didn't want
to add too much more random stuff, i thought it was IDM'ed
enough, if anything it may need some more
melodies/countermelodies, chord changes. Thanks for your
feedback, its processed by one of my professional
secretaries and tallied on a dry erase marker board.
