When you are with a friend and they bump into freinds of
theirs you never met before, lots of strange things can
happen. Especially when your friend is your ex and your
ex's freinds are work colleagues that helped her through the
breakup.

Following?

Imagine then what happens when, at the same time as this is
happening, you bump into a female freind you never
mentioned to the ex. (its a busy street) . Now you have a
three-way stranger encounter with real or imagined tension
flying all over the place. The female friend is picking up
vibes of two groups of strangers, the ex's freinds are
taking sides in an imaginary micro-war and the ex is busily
cathcing up with friends in a nothing-to-see-here kinda
way.

After everyones dispersed you now have a totally irrational
ex fabricating all sorts of scenarios born out of
insignificent forgotten foibles and an insecurity that
wasn;t even there 2 minutes before because we left the
cinema after the very last credit instead of a minute
before.

Its a fucking headwrecker! its very Larry David!

Imagine my horror when I invited a couple of mates and their
respective girlfriends, to a house party I was walking to,
only to find out one of the girls had a horrific break up
with the host of the party (when he lived in his old house).
They only saw each other once they were right in the middle
of the party. Pretty awkward at the time as I'd not actually
been told I could invite anyone, it was just a generally
"open to all" feel that I had picked up. Needless to say, it
was all my fault etc. and I should know all my casual
acquaintences past inter-personal relationships.
