yeh, it's a solo project from Nivek Ogre, Skinny Puppy
vocalist

and yeh it's not nearly as good as Skinny Puppy or Cevin
Key-related projects

yes, it's about time i posted in this ohgr thread, recycle!

http://www.ohgr.com

it took me a while to get into this solo project, but once i
did, i was hooked. i have both the albums...

i think the second album is a little more polished-sounding
than the first. i prefer the second one. but they're both
quite good.

now of course you can't compare it to SP or cevin key,
because it's completely different - what's the point of
that? it's a different type of music altogether.

mneh, its okay. It kinda falls under that "trying a bit too
hard to be taken seriously" category.

industrial music!

i love the first album (welt), it was one of the first puppy
related things i got. i've listened to it hundreds of times
probably. the sweepingness of water, the funky sound of
devil, the violence of kettle and of course the rap-type
thing on pore. also roman dirge artwork! whee.

______________
it's overly twisted rape and remind of waste
in devious flavors direct in defiling shame
when playing with fire and burnt out desire a kettle of
blackness
already fell into
a pit of our own device
______________

the lyrics have a great twist on the usual puppy fare too -
kind of accentuating the quirkiness of the ogre. 'oh?...
grr' is apprently where the ohgr name variation comes from,
like a cartoon skinny puppy almost? i don't know.
