i just downloaded her album "La maison de mon reve".
it's melodic, with a beautiful voice, a bit minimalistic and
it's got weird sounding stuff in the backround (sounds like
swings or seesaws, and then random voices) i don't really
know how to explain it...
but i wanted to know if anyone else has heard of her, and
what the hell does the album title mean...
right.

that I no longer have the original files/projects for...)

cocorosie is two girls. one called coco, and the other
rosie.
their music is gorgeous. i suggest you give them your well
earned money and buy their album.
the whole thing is gorgeous, the melodies are beautiful, the
singing is heavenly and its accompanied by strange noises in
the background like weird toys and people dragging bucets
along the ground.
my favourite album of the year thus far......
track 2 of the album is best (says me)

tragedy, you have fine taste.x

not really my stuff, but if you like this, I think you MAY
like Ephemera, even though Ephemera is INCREDIBLY soft and
kind of boring, IMO...

coco rosie are great.. la maison de mon reve means the house
of my dream or my dreamhouse.. apparently this album has
been recorded by the two girls in a bathroom just for fun
and when a friend of them heard it he said it s beautiful
you should try to release this.. and later they got signed
and had a lot of success.. nice story:)

I like the music very much. most of the lyrics are pretty
awful though.
One the the sister's voices (the classically trained one) is
really divine. Like on the track "butterscotch".. it's so
soothing and lullaby like.. but slightly creepy and
unsettling at the same time. I love how she does that sort
of lilting girly vibrato or whatever.

didn't like them at all. now i like them.

maybe it will do the same with cocorosie.
