After a lot of stupid nonsense with broken linkage and hyper-slow download speeds from yahoo briefcase, i need some advice regarding a Proper hosting site. I'm not too fussed about paying a monthly fee as long as it's not too expensive, but something free would be even better. I know about zebox (the free version at least), wire.fm, mp3.com.au or whatever it is and probably a couple of others i've forgotten about, but anyway, does anybody know of a place where there's: - 50+ meg of space - 20+ meg file size limit (limitless even better) - A reliable, fast connection for more than one user at a time I'd much appreciate some advice. Thanks and i love you. |

hyakusen recomended , they give you 100mb free webspace. I haven't got it working through an ftp yet tho. |

well, think about it.. you use free webspace, it drops out every 2 hours. you can complain, but who cares? did you pay for any services? |

this is what i recently got no set up fee 5.95 usd a month 1gb of webspace (thats ~1000megs if you dont know) 15gb/month traffic unlimited: emailaccounts, subdomains, addon domains, ftp accounts, etc. cpanel web interface management, ftp access, jailed ssh access basically this means i can have all my different domain names act as different sites even though they are on the same account, i can have x.com, with all the files for that website in its own directory and y.com with all its files in its own directory. but to anyone looking at it they all act as compleatly independent sites. 1gb storage/15gb transfer is really quite a lot, i am actually thinking to split it with 1 or two people so we will each have almost 350megs space, 5gb transfer, as many domains as any of us want, all for 2USD a month. its considered 'unsupported' hosting so if you are totally clueless regarding these types of things you may want to stay clear. |
