i'm ripping my cds to mp3 @ 320kbs and 48khz

my question is:

can i burn a 48khz mp3 to a CD-R? cos Cds only go high as
44khz. does the burning software automatically convert the
mp3 to 44khz before starting the burning process? or is it
just not possible at all?

as long as you burn your 48KHz encoded MP3's to your disc as
a DATA cd, then you will still have your 48KHz encoded
tracks mate

data.

oh well in that case then no, the software will convert it,
because the CD Audio format is stuck in 44.1KHz

the only way you can get better sample rates is if you
somehow manage to get hold of an SACD burner.......i
think.....

i'm not concerned about that. 48khz is only for when i
listen to my mp3s. just wanted to know if could still burn
it on a cd @ 44khz.

thanks for the info

well, yeah probably more expensive than anywhere else. but
they are still pretty cheap. a bus ticket costs twice as
much actually.

i really dont believe that you could feel the difference
between audio recorded at 44 and 48 kHz. too small
difference, mate. audiophile ? lies.

you have to convert it to CD format anyways so it doesn't
matter

most burningprograms do that themselves, though.

I guess you still have to crank up yours.
