Probably old news, but gotta say I love this movie. Well crafted.. very interesting if you can keep up with the scene switches. Its almost like IDM for movies (constantly changing). Who else enjoyed this flick?

I thought it was piss poor crowdpleasing existentialism. It had no story, no powerfull imagery. A contribed piece of pretension that didn't deserve theatrical release. Normally I like the strange stuff, but this reaked of trying too hard.

the only part i didn't like was the doctor & dunst relationship. that felt forced. everything else was brilliant.

well, they had to do that so carrey and winslet get to hear those tapes...they could do this another way as well, but i don't think it was relevant for the film :)

dunst could've found out about frodo & winslet, and been put off about the whole shammy nature of the practice. maybe the doctor tells her not to worry about it after she finds out or something... then she gives all the tapes back to save other people from being taken advantage of.
i think that works better. but, that's just me.

i really loved this movie, except for jim carrey. i just didn't think he did a good job... acting... it kind of ruined it for me, because the whole time i felt like i was watching jim carrey trying to act and not the seeing the character. whereas kate winslet's character was believable and pretty much all the other cast members gave convincing performances, jim carrey's performance was not. but that was my own take on it, everyone tells me i'm wrong. :(

i think the role was purrfekt for him...he's a diverse person,no doubt, but it's a bit hard to get used to serious roles cos he only played in comedies the most.
i really found myself in this movie...like wathing myself in his shoes.

oh yeah...the whole movie is kinda on a minimum untill they realise what happens and then you get this emotional feedback right in the face.
that was what got me going soft...took me totally offguard.

i watched a screen copy of it - and it was good, like amateur video. the cam was not placed 100% horizontally, plus blur, and enhancement of light/shadow... nice grainy feel.

it's kinda the opposite for me. i didn't really get into it at first because the characters were acting so oddly that i thought it was just poorly thought out.
but, then as the movie progressed and i began to catch on to what was going on everything made perfect sense.

yep... i really liked it.
at first i thought the main characters just didn't have a believable chemistry although their acting was fantastic.
I saw this film with an ex-gf of mine and we got back together soon after. Watching the film with her was extremely bizarre given the storyline ....!!!

The soundtrack was okay.
Aside from Beck's cover I wasn't too keen on the tracks that weren't written specifically for the film.
I particularly liked the Main title music, Peer Pressure, and Phone Call which is one of the single most lovely things I have heard in my life.

Besides that I believe that kaufman should stop whining about being a loser now that he has become a super-star with adaptation...
