it's time for my weekly college radio program. tonight,
i'll be honest with you, it's all hip-hop until the last
15-20 minutes or so. i've got backpacker shit, grimy shit,
ghetto shit... but all good stuff. wildchild, slum village,
new de la soul, new handsome boy modeling school (w/ chino
moreno & el-p), kanye, dj shadow remix by unkle, too $hort
(one of my favorite songs ever), nas, mos def, gang starr.
i'm paying tribute to ol' dirty AND john balance of coil.
aphex will be played as always. at the end of the show i
hope to get to bjork, morricone, plaid, and FSOL. tune in,
it should be fun.

begins in 30 minutes at 10 PM EST (3 AM in the UK), ends 2
hours later

*** streaming audio link here (Windows Media Player required) ***

i'll do shoutouts on air again for those listening.

time for an avatar change...!

travis, can you play some junior senior? or is happy music
banned from the playlist?

offline titsworth from Washington, DC (United States) on 2004-11-17 20:05 [#01398693]

no no happy music is not at all banned from the playlist,
you just have to request in advance.. i also don't own
anything by junior senior and i dunno if wdcv has anything
by them either.

i must say i enjoyed the sinatra before me.. it's relaxing..
the song after coil is a wu banger

no problemo.. confusing shoutout for me, though i think i
figured out who waster is (with some help)

this 80s sample is hilarious and yet it gives me goosebumps
sometimes when i listen

the beat i just talked over was from dj quik... before was
LL COOL J "how i'm coming" produced by MARLEY MARL.

btw jivverdicker the handsome boy modeling school song
coming up wouldn't exist if one of automator's friends
hadn't emailed him my fake album #2 tracklisting & press
release back in 2002. he took my ideas for chino moreno
(deftones), cedric bixler (then at the drive-in, now the
mars volta), & cat power right from there. extremely cool.
:)

i dedicated to the bitch who used to be the station manager
here.. who punished me for playing explicit language on my
show 2 years ago, fully within my rights, while dj's on the
staff did the exact same thing after i introduced the safe
harbor hours rules to the station. so this is for her and
the borderline nazi fcc.
