AKG 240M's for myself are fantastic for music making. Can't
be arsed to get any monitors so I thought I'd get some
decent 'phones.

The Sony MDR-7506 is a good headphone, very accurate and
detailed, doesn't colour the sound - STAY AWAY FROM PRETTY
MUCH EVERYTHING ELSE FROM SONY except the 7506. They are
golden, the other models are not.

And evolume is correct, don't master with cans. You'll put
in way too much bass, and you may think that details are
very obvious when they won't be hardly audible when heard
through speakers.

AKG's are amazing, but they aren't very confortable. I have
some very lightwieght and very nice sounding Sennheiser
eH2200. They run about $80 i think.
