Ok.. I just got lots of money, and I'm considering two options.. either a technics sl1210 mk5 or a package with a zoom 1608 portastudio with mic and mic stand... the thing is.. when I look at the specs for the mk5, all the pages note different values for the pitch adjust... some say you can have 8 - 16 %, while other just say 8%. The official page says 8-16, but that page is kind of strange, so... has anyone actually GOT an 1210mk5, and can tell me what the pitch adjust REALLY is? |

I've heard (so that doesn't really answer your question about "knowing") that it's a switch that goes between 8 and 16%. Basically one pitch slider, but based on whether the switch is on the 8% or 16% option, the amount pitch will increase when you move the slider is doubled (or halved). |

hmm.. weird... that's the other thing.. I can't really see any buttons for changing pitch on any of the pics of it either... they have that pitch-reset button, but other than that, no more new buttons from mk2... |
