i have to confess that since i know of myself i'm a very
irresponsible person.
not that i want to act like that, but sometimes i know to put
on my back too much projects and never finish any of them or
just let people down, cos i don't feel like doing this/that
at the certain moment.
for instance...the last 6 days i had to be on breifings for
the club, but i didn't come cos i had to finish the EP.
by this i let down everyone in the group and i feel really
sorry for that, but it's just the natures course of myself.
i act in terms of feelings...if i have a task to do and if i
don't feel like doing it that day i won't do it.
this sucks bigtime, but i don't know how to avoid that?

help

i don't know, it seems like it is an issue of
responsibility. when one commits to something, they should
follow through. perhaps you can prioritize before commiting
to too many things - think about whether you can or want to
actually do them before you say you will. even if you say,
"no i won't be able to do that," up front, it's much better
than saying you'll do something and then not doing it.

seeing as he begins his post with "i have to confess that
since i know of myself i'm a very irresponsible person"

I think he already knows this..

first thing you need to do is stop creating bullshit excuses
for yourself, things like "but it's just the natures
course of myself"
and "i act in terms of
feelings...if i have a task to do and if i don't feel like
doing it that day i won't do it"
.

you need to grow up and not see your decisions as an
uncontrollable thing like the weather.

it is NOT nature's course for you, you CHOSE not to go.

you "act in terms of feeling" because you CHOOSE to.

these choices aren't freak accidents.

try empathising with the people who you let down, how your
selfishness makes them feel

first you need to change this attitude, then you can start
planning, etc.

if you are aware that you are letting these people down, and
you think youre irresponciblity is the reason, then work on
that. work on being more responcible.
try to only commit to a few tasks, and see them through. i
hate multitasking myself out, so i only concentrate on one
or two things at a time, therefore i able to complete all of
the things on my plate, but one thing at a time. i literally
put things on the back burner or do not commit myself until
i know that i can see them through

i already put myself in their shoes...and i saw myself as a
jerk.
i would be pissed if someone would act like that to
me...heh,this is so silly to write, cos i am like that.lol

so,what do you sudgest...should i take notice on what tasks
i choose to make?

socialising a bit more.

well, r40f's advice sounds good - scrap everything and start
just saying "yes" to a few things, like one or two.

you MUST be able to manage that.

then slowly start adding tasks, but only so much as you KNOW
you will do, not just what you think you OUGHT to do.

and like I said before, stop making yourself a kind of
victim.

if you know what the problem is, all you have to do is work
to fix it, you seem like you know how to fix it, you might
just need to get motivated.

what qrter said is correct as well. only you are
responsible for your own actions. no matter what, you are
always making decisions, and like it or not, they will
impact others. so it's pointless to make excuses like "it's
just my nature," because personal accountability is just a
fact of life.

motivation is where is at...i live in the city where
everything is soo chilled and unmotivated,so i guess i got
swollen by it.

i have to make a new page in my life...seriously,cos this
ain't leading towards anything respectfully.
