i've seen a documentary on television shot by an american who drove west to east to gather people's reactions right after 9/11. it realy had nothing to do with michael moore or such spin doctors, it really seemed like a personal thing he did for himself. he interviewed some friends, then many people along the way, and the most clever comments on 9/11 came from coloured people and bums!

the whole "moral values" thing is being misunderstood, i think...people who voted for bush said that "moral values" come before everything else, which is true. your "moral values" tell you how to vote...they are your sense of right and wrong.
democrats tend to dislike words like "moral values" because they think it implies "religious values". not necessarily. even atheists have morals...at least, i would like to think so.

religious people aren't any better than atheists. most religious people just persuade themselves they're good, but they're just plain normal. perverts. at least atheists don't kill for converting others to atheism.

it seems we are now using the same tactics of fear and religion to motivate our team as fast as the other guys. i'm pretty afraid that bad times are ahead.

look at it this way...now you know 48% of the country is with you. not just slightly convinced...TOTALLY with you. most who voted Democrat believe that Bush will be a bad president. that says a lot, and is a good thing, not a bad thing.
what worries me is, everyone around me looks so depressed. (keep in mind, i live in california.) it's like a dead zone. my roommate for example...she seems to have given up all hope for change.
but that's exactly what conservatives want. we are at our weakest right now. we need to buck up and get pissed. just because we lost an election does not mean we stop resisting.
